Water, wells, life

In the morning before classes, begin, the pupils of the Christalo Educational Center school travel long distances to collect the water for drinking and the water for use during the day in the toilets.

The school is far from the river and the springs, so collecting water is quite difficult, while hygienic conditions are essential in order to combat the spread of diseases such as typhoid and hepatitis A and B.

The construction of a well complete with tap has benefited not only the pupils of the school, but also all those who live in the vicinity of the school itself and for the general use of the community.

The well was built with funds raised with the Chiena for Life, a historic event dedicated to water that is celebrated every year in Campagna, in the province of Salerno, Water as the source of life. Under the watchful eye of our volunteer Stefano, various small events are organized in the name of the Association SOS Solidarieta' to raise funds so that we can invest in further wells.
