Stagger the plastic

Education/Training

Africa conjures up romantic images: elephants crossing the Kalhari, the bubbling water of Victoria Falls, or the romantic view from Table Mountain.

Unfortunately, however, Africans see plenty of smog and piles of plastic garbage everywhere, burning plastic and polluted drinking water.

In this regard together with the volunteers of Flep Club and with the Sisters of Charity of the Precious Blood, we started the project "Stagger the plastic".

The information campaign and training project consists of meetings with Primary and Secondary School pupils, to raise awareness that plastic causes damage to health, animals, crops and water.

The project attempts to create political attention around the excessive and dangerous use of plastic products and calls on local governments to start to reduce the use of plastic up to its elimination, at the same time, donating 2500 cotton shopping bags.
